With hundreds of miles of fiber in the ground, dozens of redundant carrier-grade backbone routers, and a highly qualified engineering team, Voxel’s facility-based network is a source of company pride. As one of the only hosting providers managing its own IP-backbone, Voxel is armed with flexibility and depth of service that is unrivaled in our industry. Network Facts
The Voxel IP backbone connects major carrier hotels and our own datacenters with Ten Gigabit Ethernet circuits across a metropolitan dark-fiber network. By utilizing CWDM and DWDM wave-division technologies they have achieved the ultimate in scalability, allowing them to “light” additional wavelengths on-demand.
Their core infrastructure is comprised of redundant Cisco 7600 series and Juniper M-series backbone routers. They connect directly with many Tier-1 Internet backbones and have hundreds of peering relationships with major DSL/Cable ISPs.
